College Health wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people with disabilities and those who find many websites difficult to use. We know that a service for adults with ADHD needs to work well for people who find dense text, cluttered layouts or complicated navigation hard going, and we have tried to design the site with that in mind.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the recognised standard for accessible websites in the UK. We also aim to meet our duties under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments so that disabled people can use our service on an equal footing.

What we have done to make this site accessible

  • Written content in plain, straightforward language and kept pages short and clearly structured
  • Used clear headings so you can scan a page and find what you need
  • Chosen colours that meet the recommended contrast levels for readable text
  • Made sure the site can be navigated using a keyboard, without a mouse
  • Used clear, visible focus outlines so keyboard users can see where they are
  • Made the site work on phones, tablets and computers, and allowed text to be enlarged without breaking the layout
  • Added descriptive text to meaningful images

Adjusting your device to help you read

You can make this and other websites easier to use by changing settings on your own device — for example enlarging the text, increasing contrast, or having pages read aloud. AbilityNet publishes free step-by-step guides at mcmw.abilitynet.org.uk.

How we are doing

We believe this site is largely consistent with WCAG 2.2 AA. We have not yet had a full independent audit, and some areas may fall short — in particular, any documents we publish (such as PDFs) or any content provided by third parties may not be fully accessible. We are working to identify and fix any issues, and we review accessibility as we make changes to the site.
